He received his PhD in media and communications from the University of Hull, UK. His thesis discusses online public spheres and political communication, with emphasis placed on transnational political discourses. Prior to his PhD studies, he completed a German MA in Communication Sciences (major), English (1. minor) and History (2nd minor) at the University of M\u00fcnster and a British MA in Applied Communication at Coventry University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 2015 to 20222, he worked as\u00a0a senior lecturer, researcher, and graduation coordinator for the Creative Business program (BA, formerly International Communication and Media) and Data-Driven Design program (MA) at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a postdoctoral researcher, his work focused on the impact of digital media and datafication on public discourses, digital cultures, and data ecologies.
